Our production of Macbeth will lean into Southern Gothic horror. It takes place in the Appalachian mountains, somewhat outside of time, where rusted tools, overgrown forests, moonshine jars, flickering lanterns, and ghostly mountain fog paint a picture of a land that does not suffer the weak or foolish.
The earth remembers every drop of blood.
The Phoenix Theatre & Arts Company (or PTAC) is an independent community theatre company located in the Hudson Valley region of NY. Composed of a small board of dedicated volunteers, motivated local actors, and talented technicians, PTAC launched in September of 2020 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and a NYS registered charity.
Our company typically performs two mainstage shows each year (both plays and musicals), along with workshops, staged readings, and other events, both in person and virtually. We have performed in Westchester, Putnam, Orange, and Ulster Counties.
We encourage anyone and everyone to audition! PTAC has a non-discrimination casting policy and casting is open to members of all ages, races, genders, sexes, orientations, religions, abilities, and experience level.
